Three firefighters were injured, one seriously, while operating at a fire Friday afternoon, August 11, 2023, in Chicago, Illinois, according to reports.
A Mayday was declared and three firefighters were transported after being injured while responding to 8336 Balmoral on the city’s Northwest Side.
The transported member remains in serious but stable condition at an area medical facility as of Sunday evening, according to the Chicago Fire Department PIO, but was making steady improvement.
