Fire Fighters Qualify
All 22 military fire fighters at Fort Jackson, S.C. have qualified at the fire fighter III level by completing a correspondence course conducted by the Firemen Training Program at Louisiana State University. Fort Jackson is believed to be the first fire department in the Army to have all its fire fighters complete the course, according to Chief Eugene Courtemanche, Army Training and Doctrine Command director of fire protection.
