Dramatic Video Shows Chicago (IL) Crews Attacking Raging Rooftop Fire

According to a report from ABC7, dramatic overhead video showed crews from the Chicago (IL) Fire Department (CFD) on the roof of a home that erupted in flames and which spread to several adjacent homes in the city’s Logan Square neighborhood Tuesday morning.

The extra-alarm fire broke out in a three-story, single-family home in the 2400-block of North Washtenaw Avenue at about 6 a.m.

Overhead video showed flames reaching 40 to 50 feet in height. As the flames and smoke intensified, CFD firefighters were forced off one of the rooftops.
