Dr. Harry Carter Passes Away

Dr. Harry R. Carter, a longtime presence in the New Jersey and national fire service and FDIC International presenter, has passed away.

Dr. Carter was chairman of the Board of Fire Commissioners for Howell Township (NJ) Fire District #2. He had a 26-year career with the Newark (NJ) Fire Department, where he served as a battalion chief. He also had a 45-year career with the Adelphia Fire Company in Howell Township; he served as chief in 1991. In addition, he served as the fire company chaplain.
