CT Volunteer Fire Policeman Struck by Vehicle While Directing Traffic

According to a report from WTNH, a fire policeman with the Bolton (CT) Volunteer Fire Department (BVFD) was struck by a vehicle while directing traffic after a motor vehicle accident in the town just before 6 p.m. Monday.

BVFD officials said crews responded to a three-car accident with injuries alongside the Coventry Fire Department on Rt. 44.



The fire policeman was taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

BVFD officials are warning drivers to proceed with caution around emergency scenes and to take directions from first responders to ensure scene safety.
