Correction
A caption appearing with a photograph on page 294 of the article “Respiratory Protection of New York Firemen,” April 1959 FIRE ENGINEERING, incorrectly credits Captain McMahon as demonstrating mouth-to-mouth breathing techniques. The person shown is Dr. Vincent J. Collins, who with Drs. James O. Elam and Virginia Apgar, as a physician’s committee, New York State Society of Anesthesiologists, were instrumental in interesting the New York Fire Department to adopt this method of resuscitation.
