Modular Ambulance Corp. has announced the promotion of Bill Meyers to the position of vice president, operations. Jerry Kestner is the new national sales manager, and Guy Durham is the production superintendent. Meyers will be responsible for coordinating all of the operational division. In his new position, Kestner will be responsible for formulating domestic marketing strategy for the company. He will also be expanding the remounting program, in which ambulances presently in service are refitted with new chassis. Guy Durham will be responsible for coordination and supervision of all production.

Robert J. Earley, Sr., Senior Fire Inspector of the Melville Fire District, has been re-elected for a second term as President of the New York State Fire Marshals’ and Inspectors’ Association during the Annual Meeting and Seminar. Elected along with Earley, were Alton Lewis of North Syracuse as vice president and Richard C. Brewer of Canastota, as secretary-treasurer.

Joseph C. Clark has been appointed as sales manager of Superior buses*and ambulances for the company’s Morris, Manitoba plant. Superior is a division of Sheller-Globe Corp. In his new capacity, he will have responsibility of Canadian bus sales in British Columbia, Yukon, Alberta, Saskatchewan, Manitoba and western Ontario; sales for ambulances produced at Morris; sales distribution contact with Canadian and American dealers for buses manufactured at Morris.

Louis V. Ott, formerly with the Beaunit Corp., has joined Centex as sales manager, Aluminized Fabrics Division.

American Hoist & Derrick Company, with headquarters in St. Paul, Minn., announced effective December 1, 1977 the formation of a new and seParate operating group within the company to be known as the Harris Group. Walter R. Olson, formerly vice president of operations for the Capital Group, has been appointed to the position of president of the Harris Group. He will have total responsibility for this group which has manufacturing facilities in Cordele, Georgia and Bridgend, Wales in the United Kingdom. Additionally, Olson will be responsible for the Waterous Company and the Traverse City Iron Works, Inc. Allyn L. Monson has been appointed controller for the Harris Group. Additionally, in the Corporations’ Construction Equipment Group, Kenneth G. McCauley has been promoted to the position of Group vice president of operat ions. Jerrold A. Anderson has been appointed to the position of Group vice president of administrations. Emil G. Kucera to Group vice presidentcontroller.

Richard A. Trafas has been named vice president, for the BF Goodrich Tire Division. In his new position, Trafas will have marketing responsibility for BF Goodrich passenger, truck, farm, off-the-road and industrial tires sold to vehicle or equipment manufacturers.
