HALE PRODUCTS, INC. of conshohocken, Pennsylvania has acquired the U.K. based Godiva Group Limited manufacturing companies from Braithwaite, pending Braith waite stockholders’ approval. Acquired companies include Godiva Fire Pumps and Godiva Emergency Products in Warwick, England and Trinity Pump Company in Gobowen, England. Hale manufactures fire pumps and the Hurst Jaws of Life® line of hydraulic, rescue equipment.

EMERGENCY ONE, INC., a subsidiary of Federal Signal Corporation, has recently purchased American Eagle Fire Apparatus Company, Inc. of Gainesville, Florida. Emergency One, a manufacturer of fire apparatus, was awarded a multiyear, $47 million contract in 1988 to build crash/fire/rescue vehicles for the U.S. Air Force. American Eagle manufactures bodies for fire apparatus and estimated 1989 sales to exceed S12 million.

This year the MINE SAFETY APPLIANCES COMPANY (MSA) in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, a manufacturer of equipment and systems for worker and plant protection, celebrates its 75th anniversary. Besides the mining industry, MSA serves asbestos abatement, fire service, military, and hazardous materials interests. John T. Ryan, Jr. is chairman of the board; L.N. Short, Jr. is president and CEO; and John T. Ryan III is executive vicepresident of MSA.
