Lincoln C. Bailey has been appointed vice president, marketing and sales, health/safety products, for Scott Aviation, a division of A-T-O Inc. Previously, Bailey was director, health/safety products. He also worked for American LaFrance, another A-T-O division.

He founded and was elected the first chairman, of the Manufacturers’ Affiliate Group of the Safety Equipment Distributors Association. Presently, he is a member of the ISEA Planning Committee, and is an active member in the American Industrial Hygiene Association.

Dave Allen was recently appointed as general manager for National Fire Hose (of Canada) Corporation.

Allen was sales manager of Akron Manufacturing, producers of industrial and municipal fire fighting equipment, and was vice president marketing of King Seagrave, manufacturer of fire apparatus.

As general manager, Allen will direct operations at the new National Fire Hose of Canada plant in Mississauga, Ontario, where the plant is scheduled to begin full production at midyear.

Star-Line ambulance and emergency rescue vehicles are now handled throughout the United States and Canada exclusively by the Elgin Leach Corporation.

The sales and marketing affiliation between the two organizations which was announced last summer has now been completed, and all Star-Line products are being sold and serviced by a network of 87 equipment distributors.

Models include the SuperStar, with a 130-inch long patient compartment that also features 68-inches of headroom and 42 cubic feet of interior storage space for ample advanced life support and mobile intensive care capacity.

Emergency One, Inc. has recently enlarged their manufacturing facility. They have acquired 10 acres of land in Ocala, Florida for expansion of the main plant and the paint shop, totaling 130,000 square feet underroof. Plans are also underway for construction of a separate plant for the manufacturing of a special vehicle.

Halprin Supply Company has announced the relocation of two branch warehouses. They are now at Wilmington Pike Rd. No. 5, Westchester, Pa. 19380 and 4845 Homestead Rd., Houston, Texas 77028.

National Testing Co. has appointed Thomas W. Shand as manager of their aerial device inspection facility headquartered in Folcroft, Pa. Shand was a member of the College Park Fire Department, Prince George County, Md. and since 1973 has been active in the Shaker Road Fire Department, Colonie, N.Y., where he was captain in charge of training.

Chemetron Corp. has recently named Anthony Baratta industrial engineer for its fire systems division.

Baratta was formerly affiliated with Gould, Inc. and has held engineering positions with GTE Automatic Electric and the Roper Corp.

Leslie J. Jezuit was recently appointed president of Signal Products Division, Federal Signal Corporation.

Jezuit previously served as director of marketing and then vice president-marketing/sales since March 1980, when he joined the company. He also worked for the Digital Systems Division of Mead Corporation and held a number of marketing, sales and planning positions with the Graphic Systems Group of Rockwell Corporation.

Homelite, Div. of Textron, Inc., recently announced two executive appointments.

William S. Nochisaki has been named to the new position of vice president, advanced manufacturing technology, where he will be responsible for for applying advanced technology to the building of existing products and improving the quality of new products at lower manufacturing costs. Before joining Homelite in 1972, he was employed by Bell Aerospace as vice president, manufacturing, and Rohr Corp.

Max W. Luce, formerly executive director of manufacturing at Homelite, has been named vice president, manufacturing. He joined Homelite in 1960, and previously owned two machine companies in the Midwest.

The Detroit Diesel Allison Division of General Motors recently announced two executive appointments.

Ludvik F. Koci was named general director of engineering, where his responsibilities will include gas turbine research and engineering.

Koci joined GM in 1961 and has held various engineering poisitions, most recently as director of diesel engine and transmission engineering.

Donavon F. Downham, formerly director of worldwide product planning, has been appointed director of strategic planning.

Downham began his career at GM in 1954 as an experimental engineer. He has held several sales and engineering positions since that time.
