Fire Out Enterprises Co., Inc. of Norwich, N.Y. recently signed an agreement with Mitsui & Co. of Japan. Fire Out is a water additive that will be marketed in Japan. Mitsui will work with the Japan Fire Defense Agency to establish procedures for the use of Fire Out in all Japanese fire stations as well as sprinkler systems, extinguishers, and other equipment.

Henry W. Lehnerer has been elected vice-president of Wormald Americas, Inc., a holding company for the American interests of Wormald International Ltd. of Sydney, Australia. In addition to The Ansul Company in Marinette, Wis., Wormald Americas has other fire protection operations in both North and South America.

Lehnerer joined Wormald Americas upon the acquisition of The Ansul Company by Wormald International, Ltd. in February, 1979, where he had been controller since 1973.

Ed Spitzer was recently promoted to the position of national sales manager after 18 years of part-time work with Peter Pirsch & Sons Company. Previously, he was assistant chief of the Kenosha, Wis., Fire Department.

Rexnord, Inc. has acquired the assets of BioMarine Industries, Inc., manufacturer of portable oxygen analyzers, combustible and toxic gas detectors and self-contained breathing apparatus.

BioMarine will become a unit of Rexonrd’s Instrument and Control Division and will continue operations at its present location under existing management and personnel.

Charles Larabee has been named director of planning for Cardox, a division of Chemetron Corporation, a member of Allegheny Ludlum Industries.

Larabee had been Midwest sales representative for Cardox and manager of marketing. Rejoined Cardox in 1973.

Michael F. Walsh, Jr. has been appointed national sales manager for the Safety Products Division of Mine Safety Appliances Company.

Walsh, who previously was sales manager, mining, joined MSA in 1960 as an international sales engineer. He also served as sales correspondent, a salesman in Syracuse, N.Y., and San Francisco, and as district manager in Philadelphia. He is a member of the American Institute of Mining Engineers.

Ronald R. LaRue has been elected vice president of Ziamatic Corp. Previously, he was general manager for 12 years. LaRue will continue to be responsible for manufacturing, product development and marketing.
