MIDWEST FIRE EQUIPMENT & REPAIR COMPANY celebrated 30 years of manufacturing fire apparatus. Midwest Fire is a direct dealer of tankers, tanker-pumpers, brush trucks, and fire rescue vehicles. More than 900 trucks have been manufactured and delivered on this pearl anniversary. In 2013, the company was acquired by Midwest Fire CEO Sarah Atchison, who has since been named one of the Top 25 Women in Business by Prairie Business magazine. The company has experienced record sales growth in recent years under Atchison’s leadership and has been a finalist for numerous manufacturing and small business awards. (Radio Activity), a technology company based in Milan, Italy, that develops relay systems compatible with DMR-compliant digital radio systems. Radio Activity is recognized for its technological capabilities and expertise, particularly in building simulcast networks. With this action, Radio Activity will become a wholly-owned subsidiary of JVCKENWOOD. JVCKENWOOD Corp. manufactures analog and digital two-way radios, including P25 compliant and NEXEDGE radios that use the NXDN protocol. The NATIONAL VOLUNTEER FIRE COUNCIL (NVFC) and COLUMBIA SOUTHERN UNIVERSITY (CSU) rewarded NVFC member Stephanie Humberd, a volunteer firefighter/EMT with the Burkburnett (TX) Volunteer Fire Department, with the National Volunteer Fire Council Scholarship. CSU has teamed with NVFC for several years to offer two scholarships to members. Each scholarship will cover up to $13,200 toward one CSU online degree program and will be applied directly to the recipient’s tuition for up to three years or until the student has completed their online degree program. BULLARD announced Victoria “Wells” Bullard as the company’s new chief executive officer (CEO). Wells Bullard represents the fifth generation of family leadership at Bullard. Bullard succeeds Eric D. Pasch, who retired from the Company after 18 years of service. As one of her first acts as CEO, Wells Bullard promoted Peter Lugo from chief operating officer to president.
