After three years in the making, a unique piece of firefighting art was unveiled recently at Greeley (CO) Fire Department Station 6.
The statue, created by Poudre (CO) Fire Authority Firefighter James Lynxwiler, was unveiled Thursday, April 13, 2023. Firefighter Lynxwiler, a well-known artist in Colorado who has had a 30-plus career in the emergency services, offered some photos of the installed statue, which, according to a release from the artist, was intended to represent this nation’s fire services members and their commitment to serve their communities at a moment’s notice with courage and compassion.
