Sacramento Fire Department crews are responding to a grass fire in the Robla neighborhood of North Sacramento that has burned multiple structures and vehicles.

Firefighters arrived to the scene near Claire Avenue and Dry Creek Road after a call for a tree fire, but found it was also burning grass, prompting a larger response. The blaze quickly spread to a nearby backyard and burned the 10 to 15 cars parked in it, according to Fire Department spokesperson Capt. Justin Sylvia.

The fire continued spreading north and caused “extensive damage” to one house and the vehicle in its driveway, which “burned to the ground,” Sylvia said. Multiple sheds in the area were also destroyed by the fire.

The Fire Department estimated the blaze at about three to four acres. No injuries have been reported.
