Sooner Alarms Introduces Cutting-Edge Fire Safety Tools

Sooner Alarms is releasing brand new groundbreaking safety technology to help detect fires right from the source. The innovative new solutions from Sooner Alarms feature proximity sensors that detect heat at the source of a fire (most often an electrical outlet), sending a wireless signal to a remote alarm that notifies homeowners of a problem immediately, limiting property damage and saving lives, while eliminating an increase in false alarms.

For the holiday season, Sooner Alarms offers a revolutionary new lifesaver: the TreeSafeTM fire detector. This includes a heat sensing ornament that is placed discreetly on the most common holiday hazard, the tree – should a fire break out, a signal is immediately sent to the remote outlet alarm which is placed in a safe location.

“Traditional smoke detectors cannot be placed where a fire is most likely to occur because they’ll melt before they are effective – the homeowner is not alerted by the alarm until the fire has spread and the room has filled with smoke,” said Marc Toland, founder and CEO of Sooner Alarms. “With little innovation in this area over the past 50 years, we saw this as a problem that needed to be fixed; no one should have to settle for outdated technology that doesn’t keep their family as safe as possible.”

According the National Fire Protection Association, one in every 40 reported home fires that began with a Christmas tree resulted in a fatality, and the majority of those fires occurred due to electrical problems. Sooner Alarms’ new safety technology is the solution to a fire-free holiday, and year round safety.

“We worked with fire safety experts to understand the problem and develop these products that give people a new way to protect their homes and families,” Toland said.

The PlugSafeTM fire detector works with high-risk appliances, which cause nearly 50,000 house fires every year. The heat sensor plugs into any outlet and enables continued use of that outlet, with an added layer of security with its wireless communication to the battery powered remote alarm.

“When you are in the business of detecting fire, Sooner is safer, that’s the bottom line,” Toland said. “We’re committed to keeping our communities happy, healthy, and protected and will be donating a portion of our profits to organizations that help spread the word about fire safety and help survivors get back on their feet.”

Sooner’s TreeSafe and PlugSafe are coming early in 2016. For more information visit www.sooneralarms.com.
