Pet Oxygen Masks Funded for Colorado

The Emma Zen Foundation is a nonprofit located in Southern California. The foundation program known as TEAM O2 raises funds for Pet Oxygen Masks. During the recent Colorado Springs fire the name sake of the foundation Emma Zen and her online friend Ricochet raised over 60,000.00 for the State of Colorado.  “These are enough funds to establish the kits at the rate of one per engine, throughout your entire state,” said Debra Jo Chiapuzio, President of the Emma Zen Foundation.

“Who would have ever thought that distributing them was going to be the hard part?” Now with nearly 700 kits available the foundation is ready to start distribution. “We have spoken with Steve Pischke, the President for the Colorado State Fire Chief Association, who has given his verbal approval to have this equipment place on each of their engines. We are also in the process seeking the same approval from Colorado State Firefighters association. What we need now are stations to come forward and claim their pet oxygen masks kits.

This project is already funded. Pet Oxygen Masks Kits contain three different size pet oxygen masks, small, medium and large. They come with three lengths of standard tubing, a training booklet that can be used for protocol, Pet Oxygen Masks on board sticker, a data sheet and a link to a training video on how to properly administer and use the equipment.

Statistics say that 78.2 million dogs and 86.4 million cats in the US, according to the Humane Society of the United States. Fire fighters must find many of our family members home when their human counter parts are not. If you are located in the State of Colorado, your Pet Oxygen Mask(s) kits are free of charge, thanks to the Emma Zen Foundation and Ricochet the SURFice Dog.

Kits will be sent to your station free of charge.
