Ocala Fire Rescue's Captain Alan Screws

Ocala Fire Rescue’s Captain Alan Screws has retired after 32 years of service with the department. Captain Screws was hired as a firefighter in 1982 and has seen many changes over the decades such as improved training and equipment.

“It has been a great career and I have enjoyed the crews I have worked with” stated Captain Alan Screws during a ceremony at fire headquarters today. He and his wife Bonnie look forward to spending more quality time together.
