Market Builders, Inc. announces that it will distribute fleet packages of the new Polaris eBikes to police, fire and public safety departments.
The eBikes are a premium 8-speed bicycle equipped with an electric motor, powered by a rechargeable lithium ion ProRide battery.
The Polaris eBike is an-all-around rugged bike designed to go from the trail to the street and every place in between. Features include a 6061 aluminum frame, 26” Kenda wheels, Suntour XCT front suspension, Tektro brakes, SRAM 8-speed gear, and in-frame battery design.
A range of accessories can also be purchased, including mountable carry bags for equipment, flashing lights, and more.
MSRP for a Polaris eBike is $2,195. That is 50 percent less than the cost of a Segway, and the eBike is a much more versatile and faster law enforcement tool.
The Polaris eBikes can travel up to 30 miles on a single charge at a speed of up to 20 mph. To recharge, just pop out the internal battery pack and charge it off the eBike. The battery, can also be charged on the eBike. The eBike recharges in 4-6 hours. An LED indicator shows battery status level whether in-use or recharging.
Most competitive eBikes are either throttle controlled or pedal assisted — not both. The Polaris eBikes features both Biosync Pedal Assistance technology and Power On-Demand Throttle Control, which operates like a throttle in order to ride without pedaling.
Biosync Pedal Assistance Technology is a superior advancement in eBike power management. Comprised of an advanced MultiSensor and proprietary smart controller, BioSync reads the power output of a rider during a natural pedal motion. It then matches that output to give you the most efficient and comfortable ride on your eBike. BioSync technology results in the closest thing to the feeling of a regular bike ride, but with added power.
The ARC™ Regenerative Braking feature recovers energy by capturing power through both regenerative braking and when the bike exceeds 20mph, returning power to the battery supply.
The DuoDrive Motor is the propelling force behind every Polaris eBike. DuoDrive technology uses both speed and high torque, switching from SpeedDrive™ configuration on flat or low intensity terrain to a TorqueDrive™ configuration on hilly or other high resistance terrain. The Smart Control system automatically manages the drive mode, changing to accommodate the ride environment.
