Fire truck chassis line purchased in recent corporate acquisition

Kovatch Mobile Equipment, a division of Kovatch Corporation, has acquired the “1871” line of fire truck chassis from Hendrickson Mobile Equipment, a Lyons, IL, based company, according to President John J. Kovatch, Jr.

Hendrickson’s aircraft refueler chassis line was also purchased. No price was disclosed for either sale.

Included in the purchase is: the Hendrickson Tilt-Cab, proprietary wide square cabs, and traditional contoured cabs.

The Hendrickson fire truck product line is now available from Kovatch. Production is underway, and deliveries will continue on schedule.
