Gas/Oxygen Alarm

Mine Safety Appliances Company offers model 260, a portable combustible gas and oxygen alarm. Designed to monitor combustible gases and oxygen deficiency, its NiCad power system allows for semi-continuous use. The unit can detect combustible gas in the 0-100 percent lower explosive limit range and oxygen from 0 to 25 percent by volume. Each unit has its own alarm light, and shares a common alarm horn — the gas indicator is factory set to go off at 50 percent LEL, and the oxygen indicator when oxygen drops to 19.5 percent. The alarms can also be manually set. Accessories, including a calibration check kit and choice of rechargers, are available.
