Combustible Gas Detector

A battery-operated, hand-held instrument introduced by Anacon Inc., will detect the presence of a combustible gas and sound an alarm.

Model 720 rests in the palm of the hand, and provides monitoring where combustible gases are suspected. It has an on-off switch and a pushbutton battery check. Sensor life is well in excess of 6000 hours, states the manufacturer.

The Anacon unit can be set to react when the concentration of combustible gas reaches explosive limits or it can be set considerably lower if combustible gases are also toxic.

Fire Detector

A fire detection device has been introduced by Mountain West Alarm Supply Co.

Designed with rate-compensation, the F6 detection device has an outer shell of fast expanding alloy that follows changes in air temperature. Inner struts are made of expanding alloy, following temperature changes more slowly. The faster the rate of fire growth, the sooner the alarm.

This compact unit, 4 3/16 in. long, 5/8 in. in diameter, comes in 140°F and I90°F units with normally open contacts rated 125 VAC 5 Amp, 24 VDC 2 Amp.

Emergency Light Bar

The R.E. Dietz Company, has developed a series of roof mount assemblies for its Omni-Chief Emergency Light Bar. The mounts have been designed to facilitate installation on a variety of emergency vehicles.

The Omni-Chief mounting assemblies come in six variations: universal mounts with suction cups or stabilizer bars, gutter mounts for automobiles and trucks, and a permanent mounting assembly which requires roof-top drilling.

One mount allows the Omni-Chief to be mounted without touching the vehicle rooftop. This cantilever design fastens to the gutter and requires no drilling or supports that touch the roof.

Designed for all types of emergency vehicles, the Omni-Chief uses alzak aluminum reflectors for ultra-high front and rear visibility.
