High Rise Safety System

Flexalarm, an advanced monitoring and control unit, and Flexalert, an emergency voice communications center, comprise a life safety system designed specifically for highrise structures and were developed by the Gamewell Corp. The modular enclosures are made of heavy-gage steel and are suitable for surface mounting or semiflush mounting in a 4-inch wall. All circuit modules are mounted on a unistrut, interconnected with supervised connectors to eliminate intermodule hand wiring, and factory tested as a system.

The unistrut, with modules attached, can be removed in the field for initial installation. Flexalarm contains enclosed controls for alarm re-sound, drill and reset, trouble resound, lamp testing, and permits special programming and selective evacuation. Access to the microphone and selector switches in FlexAlert is via a special lock which is keyed to match the locks of the municipal fire alarm system. Both units feature LED trouble locators which pinpoint system faults for ease of maintenance.
