Training Aid

Simulaids, Inc. is now manufacturing two IV training aids, one a hand and wrist and the other an arm that extends from the midupper arm to just above the wrist.

Vein ducts are built into the manikin structure. The aids feature self-healing, removable skin.

The artificial blood is gravity fed from two suspended, plasma-type pouches. Each manikin comes with packages of powder which, when mixed with warm water, will make a gallon of simulated blood. Both items are packaged on work trays designed for scrub-up. The cross section, where the arm or hand terminates, is made to show the position of muscle tissue and major veins.
