FAST Rescue Solutions Adds New Safety Gloves to Its Line of Firefighting and First Responder Products

FAST Rescue Solutions

FAST Rescue Solutions, providers of solutions that meet the constantly evolving challenges encountered by firefighters and first responders, has announced the addition of three new lines of safety gloves to its product lineup. Under a distribution agreement with Vanguard Safety Wear, FAST Rescue Solutions is proud to offer the MK-1 and MK-1 Ultra Structural Firefighting Gloves as well as the SQUAD-1 Extrication Gloves to its customers.

The MK-1 Structural Firefighting Gloves feature five layers of 100% Kevlar knit for premium thermal, cut and puncture resistance. The cowhide-reinforced back shell offers long-term radiant heat resistance and the NFPA 1971-compliant moisture barrier blocks chemicals and bloodborne pathogens. Its rugged construction provides the durability firefighters need to do their jobs safely and effectively: the reinforced thumb crotch protects the high wear area and the inner liner is sewn and bonded at the fingertips. Further, the Kevlar knit with kangaroo skin palm and back of thumb provides outstanding flexibility, grip and dexterity for firefighters and first responders who require the highest level of tactility.

The MK-1 Ultra offers all the benefits of the MK-1 but in an all-kangaroo-skin version that features the enhanced strength, durability and suppleness of naturally water-resistant leather with 10 times the tensile strength of cowhide. Both the MK-1 and the MK-1 Ultra are available in sizes 64N, 70N, 70W, 76N, 76W, 82N, 82W.

“All the products that we sell through FAST are products that we’ve tested in the field and that we stand behind,” said FAST’s Chris Simpson, a lifelong firefighter and first responder. “We tested the MK-1 Structural Firefighting Gloves for two years and they really work. We’re excited to be able to offer them to our customers.”

The SQUAD-1 (SQ-1) Extrication Gloves are designed specifically for the fire service with an efficient, sleek design for extreme flexibility, grip and comfort. They feature a 100% Kevlar palm-side inner liner; flame-resistant back side outer shell; synthetic leather palm shell reinforced with a tough, flexible kangaroo skin outer layer; Kevlar laminate reinforcements on the backs of fingers; padded knuckle protection with a reflective strip; and ANSI Cut Level 3 protection. The SQ-1 is available sizes XS, SM, MED, LG, XL, XXL, and XXXL.

“These are not your run-of-the-mill extrication gloves,” said Eric Allen, co-founder of FAST Rescue Solutions with 30 years of experience as a firefighter and rescue specialist. “They have an extremely comfortable fit and the workmanship is top-notch, making them tough enough to withstand the harsh environments they’re subjected to.”

The MK-1, MK-1 Ultra, and SQ-1 are immediately available through FAST Rescue Solutions. Visit www.fastrescuesolutions.com to learn more.
