Kiddie Litter, available from Dixie USA Inc., transforms a regular stretcher into one for an infant or child.

The spineboard has side rails for easy lifting and transport. It’s made of shock-resistant plastic and has Velcro closures.

Radiation monitor

Ladder iocater

The Ladder Beacon, a strobe device mounted under the top rung of a portable or an aerial ladder, helps firefighters locate ladder positions during combat in the low visibility of structural firefighting.

The beacon’s xenon tube flashes between 25 and 45 times per minute. A pressuresensitive switch activates the signal only when the ladder is in a raised position. The device can be mounted by using three alien bolts. Mounting tools are included.

Irritant smoke tubes

Tubes from Sensidyne Inc. use stannic chloride to provide irritant smoke for fast, cost-effective mask-fit testing.

The tubes, which meet OSHA standards for qualitative respirator fit testing, can create smoke within 30 seconds. The tubes come in packs of six; each reusable tube can provide up to 50 tests.

Protective blanket

Power distributor

The PowerMaster, which distributes power to mobile electronic equipment, is available from Gamber-Johnson Inc.

PowerMaster distributes power through four separate circuits. Each circuit has an easy-to-reach fuse or circuit breaker and handy terminals for power and ground. Individual radios and other electronic equipment can be quickly connected or disconnected without disrupting connections to other units.

Lightweight pulling package

F.M. Brick Industries introduces its lightweight pulling package, which can be used with all rescue tools.

The package includes two 2-inch-by12-foot polyester belts, 48-inch loops, hooks, and shackles.

A red thread is woven into each belt. When the thread starts to show, it indicates that the belt needs to be replaced.
