HELMET

The Bell FH2001 fire helmet has the added distinction of having a completely self-contained emergency air filter system.

The system isn’t designed to replace an air tank, but rather to provide emergency help when a tank is unavailable or inoperable. In such an emergency, the firefighter simply loosens a Velcro strap and pulls down a flexible hose.

The filter is easily replaceable; it takes about five minutes to change it.

The helmet includes the company’s patented aluminum foil interior heat protector and an interior ratchet instant sizing system.

WINDSHIELD OPENER

The Green Windshield Opener, available from Rescue Tools, safely removes a vehicle’s windshield in seconds.

Designed specifically for the fire service, the opener operates on any standard air chisel gun. It minimizes the amount of shock transferred to a vehicle while removing the windshield, reducing victim trauma. The amount of free glass generated is minimized because of the tool’s more effective cutting design.

The tool’s blade is constructed of high-grade, heat-tempered tool steel. The steel guide prevents the tool from slipping through the windshield and ensures an accurate cut.
