VEHICLE INTERCOM/RADIO MIXER
Setcom Corp. offers the System 1000, a vehicular intercom/radio mixer system designed specifically for fire apparatus. Among its features are headset noise attenuation and clear voice communications. Two radios can be interfaced with the intercom, and either intercom or radio priority can be selected.
Up to 10 remote headsets, each with volume control, can be connected.

HAZ-MAT HOSE
The National Fire Hose Corp. offers the HazMat 500, a hazardous-material incident cleanup hose specifically designed for easy decontamination and resistance to many hazardous substances. The hose is nonporous and double vulcanized to completely seal the woven reinforcement in a custom synthetic compound.

Silver Ships Inc.’s 28-foot Fire and Spill Response Vessel is constructed of all-welded aluminum with 1/4-inch bottom and hull sides. It has a 180-gallon fuel tank, crash bulkhead, watertight buoyancy chamber, and two 200-hp Volvo diesels with DuoProp outdrives. One model comes with a Hale 500-gpm pump powered by an 80-hp Cummins diesel.
