USFA Coffee Break Training: Fire/Arson Investigations: Preparing for Court

The United States Fire Administration (USFA) has added a new entry in its Coffee Break Training series for firefighters about fire and arson investigation proceedings. In this week’s training vignette, the student shall be able to explain the key factors necessary to effectively testify in civil and criminal proceedings.

Download the training material HERE as a PDF.

Coffee Break Training provides an overview of fire protection topics and does not include all details, requirements, or exceptions to the topics that are described. Always refer to nationally recognized design and installation codes and standards, the product manufacturer, or listing details for specific information.

Previous Coffee Breaks may be found on the USFA Web site at http://www.usfa.fema.gov/nfa/coffee-break/.

More articles on legal issues involving firefighters can be found in our Legal section and on John K. Murphy’s blog.
