Pittsburgh Firefighters Union Concerned about Lack of New Recruits

The Pittsburgh Firefighters Union is expressing concern about the lack of new recruit firefighters, according to a report from CBS Pittsburgh.

Ralph Sicuro of the Pittsburgh Firefighters Union told reporters that there are fewer and fewer people looking to firefighting as a career option.

In 2008, 1,500 applicants signed up to take the test to be a city firefighter, and 618 made the eligibility list, but since then, numbers have dropped.
