MI Fire Chief Dies After Contracting COVID-19

A fire chief in Rothbury, Michigan, has died after he contracted the coronavirus, according to the U.S. Fire Administration.

Chief Roland Brooks, 82, of the Grant Township Fire Department contracted COVID-19 while on-duty. He was admitted to the hospital on Saturday, December 5, 2020 and passed away on Sunday, December 20, 2020.

Chief Brooks had 56 years of service.
