Maxton Manufacturing to Provide Hydraulic Elevator Simulator for Fire Department Elevator Safety Training

Earlier this year Maxton saw an inquiry online about locating a hydraulic elevator simulator for use by fire departments as a training tool. After connecting with Michael Dragonetti, Fire Rescue Consultant, they shared their TA4M Field Training Aid as a possible solution to his elevator training program. “Michael’s positive response opened a new opportunity for Maxton while contributing to the improved training and safety of firefighters. We learn something new every day, now together we can share this solution with the entire firefighter community,” said Karl Keller Marketing Director.

The need for fire department elevator training is becoming a more recognized safety issue of late. Mr. Dragonetti has taught handling elevator emergencies since 1999. “The trouble we have is getting permissions to practice on actual elevators that are in service. After learning about the TA4M product we now have a best case alternative,” said Michael Dragonetti. On April 30th the Stamford Fire & Rescue Department will receive their first class using the TA4M unit at the Stamford Regional Fire School in Stamford, Connecticut.

Maxton Manufacturing is a worldwide leader in elevator control valves since 1968 and holds the distinction as the largest single producer of hydraulic elevator control valves in North America (Made in USA).

The Maxton TA4M offers the firefighter with a real-life working example of a hydraulic elevator system providing hands-on experience with manual lowering of the elevator prior to an actual fire situation. Mr. Dragonetti and the Stamford Fire & Rescue Department realized the value in Maxton’s product and Michael will incorporate it into his elevator emergency training curriculum going forward at Dragon Rescue Management, Inc. http://dragonrescue.com To learn more about renting or purchasing a TA4M Field Training Aid contact 1-775-782-1700 or view online at http://www.maxtonvalve.com.
