Drill of the Week: Pump Operator Training Schedule

By Forest Reeder

Our series of drills to help you plan your 2008 training schedule continues this week with pump operator training.

After initial certification or approval to operate department apparatus, pump operators must practice their skills on an annual basis. Ongoing pump operator and apparatus operator training is an integral part of a departments training program. This drill-planning worksheet will help identify some topics that can be included in your training schedule. Reference applicable NFPA standards and department SOGs in your drill development.
