Firefighters battled a four-alarm fire last night at a vacant warehouse in The Hill neighborhood of St. Louis, Missouri.

The fire broke out about 10 p.m. in the  two-story brick building, according to the Post-Dispatch. More than 100 firefighters responded to the scene, and more than 20 apparatus.

The report said that companies were met by heavy smoke in the boarded-up buildings and had to break through old tongue-in-groove ceiling wood to fight the fire.
