Silent Knight Releases Non-Proprietary Fire Fighter Telephone System

Silent Knight to Fulfill Wholesale Distribution Need for Fire Fighter Telephone Offering

NORTHFORD, CT – Silent Knight by Honeywell (NYSE: HON) has developed a fire fighter telephone system which can easily integrate with any of its addressable IntelliKnight fire alarm systems or operate in conjunction with other fire alarm brands as a standalone solution.

The SK-FFT (Silent Knight Fire Fighter Telephone) offers as many as 48 supervised, remote audio connections and is one of the only non-proprietary systems of its type available over-the-counter through wholesale distribution.

To reduce costs and simplify installation, Silent Knight designed the SK-FFT system to operate on a single loop of any standard wire and included its patented JumpStart® auto-programming utility for straightforward system setup. The SK-FFT provides installers an ideal upgrade to offer their existing customers or include in new systems designs.

As many as 10 remote handsets can communicate at one time on the SK-FFT system, which supports up to 24 remote handset jacks – expandable to 48 with a simple FFT zone expander card. The SK-FFT module allows fire fighters to communicate and control local and remote telephone handsets. Being a fully supervised system, any trouble conditions will be indicated on the SK-FFT module. To design a customized SK-FFT system, Silent Knight offers a line of compatible accessories, including remote handsets, handset cabinet, handset jacks, lockable cabinet with connected handset and a connected telephone cabinet with breakable glass.
