RI Crews Extinguish Vacant Building Fire

According to a report from WPRI, fire crews responded to an overnight fire in a building in Central Falls, Rhode Island, that had been vacant for at least 20 years, according to officials.

The building was an old function hall on Sheridan Street. The fire broke out at approximately 1 a.m., starting at the back of the building and then spreading to the roof, according to the Central Falls Fire Department’s battalion chief.

No injuries were reported.
