New Genesis hydraulic cutter earns perfect NFPA test score

The new “All 9” Genesis hydraulic cutter scored perfect 9s on the NFPA 1936 Level Rating Test, netting the highest rating a cutter can score. With the recent increased use of “Boron” or “Ultra High Strength Steels (UHSS)” by the automotive industry to decrease fuel consumption and increase passenger safety. the cutting ability of hydraulic tools has become a key component in reducing extrication time.

“We have been pushing the envelope with our ‘Boron Capability’ program already, and decided that producing this cutter will give rescue personnel the final word in extrication when it comes to Ultra High Strength/Boron construction,” said Rick Michalo, President of Genesis Rescue Systems. The aptly named “ALL 9” cutter is the first and only hydraulic rescue tool on the market to attain this level of cutting ability. This translates into tremendous capability in real-life extrications, giving rescue personnel peace of mind during extremely heavy operations.
