Midwest Fire announced this week that the company is now offering multiplexing on all future tankers and pumper-tankers. The first Midwest Fire tanker with multiplexing will be on display at the FDIC annual trade show and convention in Indianapolis at booth #4421.
“Every new apparatus we produce will have multiplexing capabilities,” said newly promoted Vice President Kraig Scholten. “Our products have long been known for their durability and strength. Multiplexing will continue to add value to our new customers in the future. Although this technology is not new, some of the capabilities are. We will be able to offer more options without a lot of added expense.”
Mutliplexing allows customers to configure lights, perform diagnostics and has proven to be more durable than other wiring alternatives. Not only will multiplexing add a layer of customization, but it also adds a greater level of serviceability says Scholten.
“The beauty of the multiplexing capabilities on the service side is the ease of computer interface. We can have a customer plug in their apparatus to a computer and we can remotely diagnose any lighting issues and reprogram features that will help customers without the expense or delay of bringing a technician to the apparatus or bringing the apparatus to us,” said Scholten.
Not only did Midwest Fire add multiplexing to their apparatus, they also are integrating a new built in Video Data Recorder (VDR) that meets the National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) standards.
“Unlike other tankers with VDR systems, our new VDR is built into the ES-key Supernode II. This is the first built in VDR in the industry. Having the system built in allows our customers to have easy access to the system to meet NFPA safety standards without having to purchase separate components. We look forward to showcasing our new options at FDIC.”
