Florida Firefighter Uses Crane to Reach Injured Construction Worker

Florida firefighters got creative in the rescue of an injured construction worker  in Clearwater Beach, using a crane to reach him, reports CBS Miami.

Officials there said the man was injured at the Wyndham Grand resort Thursday morning after falling floors down after stepping on a beam.

Rescuers struggled to reach him and ultimately sent up a firefighter in a crane to place the injured man in a basket.

The crane lifted the two back to the ground where paramedics were waiting.

The unidentified victim was taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
