Dolan named NFPA Fire Code Field Office Regional Manager

Quincy, MA – The NFPA (National Fire Protection Association) has appointed James Dolan, of Toms River, NJ, as regional manager, fire code field office, effective immediately. Dolan will be responsible for expanding field outreach and support for NFPA’s various fire codes by working with state and local officials and associations and will represent the NFPA at code hearings and legislative sessions. He will report to Gary S. Keith, vice president, building codes and standards/regional operations.

Dolan most recently served as fire service coordinator for Building Officials and Code Administrators (BOCA) International, where he promoted the adoption of codes and served as a liaison between the organization and members of the fire service community. Additionally, he served as deputy director for the New Jersey Division of Fire Safety and as bureau chief for the New Jersey Bureau of Fire Safety. Dolan is a member of the National Association of State Fire Marshals and International Association of Fire Chiefs. He is a licensed fire protection subcode official and fire protection inspector. Dolan attended Jersey City State College, Ocean County College, and the National Fire Academy.
