Brannigan Offers “Two Deadly Fires” Paper

Frank Brannigan, Fire Engineering columnist and editorial advisory board members, is offering an unpublished paper on the 1942 Coconut Grove Nightclub fire in Boston in 1942 and the 1977 Beverly Hills Supper Club fire in Kentucky.

In the paper, he demonstrates that the facts about these disasters were obscured at the time and that the accepted circumstances are incomplete or in error. This is not just a matter of rewriting history, he stresses. “The same circumstances, which would not be noticed by a person who is not familiar with the facts of these disasters, exist today,” he warns.

For a free copy of the “Two Deadly Fires” paper, e-mail Brannigan at Fbrannigan@comcast.net. It will be emailed to those who properly identify themselves.

Brannigan is the author of Building Construction for the Fire Service, published by the National Fire Protection Association.
