New York Firefighter Dies from Injuries After Being Struck by Vehicle

A 74-year-old New York firefighter has died from injuries he sustained after being struck by a vehicle last month.

According to the U.S. Fire Administration, Montgomery (NY) Volunteer Fire Department Firefighter Charlie V. Wallace died from injuries sustained when he was struck by a vehicle on January 10th while directing traffic in front of the fire station as apparatus were leaving for a response call.

He had 43 years of service.
