The Los Angeles County (CA) Fire Department received four KME tractor drawn quints. Battalion Chief Jon O’Brien says the quints are used as a standalone resource and as a second company at multicompany stations. At these stations, the quint assumes a pumper’s duties if the engine is absent. The tractordrawn aerials are found to be the most versatile in navigating narrow, congested roads in which the tight turning radius is well suited.

The Polk County (FL) Fire Rescue assigned this FERRARA FIRE APPARATUS pumper to a busy suburban commercial area between the cities of Lakeland and Bartow. Battalion Chief Tony Autorino says it answers a full range of responses, 70 percent of which are rescue and medical calls.

The Westfield (WI) Fire Department designed this ROSENBAUER unit for fireground support and as a command center. The body provides space to carry equipment as well as seating for response members, says Chief Paul Parker.
