- The Pasadena (TX) Fire Department protects a municipality with a large petrochemical/industrial response area and a coastal area. Chief Jerry D. Gardner says this SVI TRUCKS, INC. heavy rescue unit is equipped for many scenarios including high-angle, confined space, and water rescues.

- The Merriam (KS) Fire Department designed this EMERGENCY ONE pumper for crew safety and more compartment space, according to Chief Jerry Montgomery. The department covers an interstate highway that runs through the city, and the topmount pump panel keeps the operator off the road.

- The LaHarpe (IL) Fire Department uses its ALEXIS apparatus to fight grass fires and to transport additional firefighters in the larger cab. Chief Roger Jackson says the department plans to carry rescue tools on it in the future.

- The Dell Rapids (SD) Fire Department replaced an older pumper with this larger LUVERNE (now CRIMSON FIRE APPARATUS) pumper with large water tank and topmount pump panel for better visibility, according to Captain Dan Klein. The department covers a business district and a rural area.
