Because of a recent merger, the Rocky Run Fire Company, Lima, Pennsylvania, replaced two Class A engines with this rescue pumper built by MARION BODY WORKS. Assistant Chief Paul Bradfield says that the “RPM” design will greatly enhance the department’s capabilities of having a first-due engine at structure fires and to assist its quick attack unit on motor vehicle accidents and vehicle fires.

- UPF 750-gallon water and two 40-gallon foam tanks;
- AMDOR roll-up compartment door on enclosed pump panel compartment and two wheel well compartments to hold two hand extinguishers each;
- HURST rescue tool system with HANNAY hydraulic reel;
- WARN 4½-ton portable winch with front and rear receivers;
- ON SPOT tire chains;
- AUDIOVOX Voyager heavy-duty rearview camera on both sides of the cab; and
- lights and power with a HARRISON 10-kw hydraulic generator, 4,500-watt COMMAND LIGHT, five FRC scene lights on sides and rear of the body, WHELEN brow light, and two HANNAY electric cord reels.
The Nolichuckey (KY) Fire Department uses this 4 GUYS tanker as a second-out unit following a pumper to protect a rural area of the department’s county, says Chief Charlie Baines. The tanker becomes a first-out unit if the pumpers are not available. It uses a portable tank to supply the engines and runs mutual-aid calls for structure fires.

The Melbourne (Australia) Fire Brigade protects the busiest port in the country, which includes tank farms, marinas, and more. Commander Ken Brown says the department’s METALCRAFT MARINE Fire Storm 40 boat is state-of-the-art and the only one of its kind in Australia.
