The Hackensack, NJ, Fire Department is operating two of these pumpers built by Ward 79 Limited. They are mounted on Mack CF chassis with a Waterous CMYBX 1,000-gpm two-stage pump and 500-gallon water tank.
They are powered by a Mack Thermodyne ET673 diesel engine with Allison automatic transmission. The midship mounted booster reel carries 250 feet of one-inch hose.

The fire department of Morehead, KY, took delivery of a new 110foot Aerial Platform built by Pierce Manufacturing Inc.
Mounted on a Pierce Arrow chassis with a 248-inch wheelbase, the unit is powered by an 8V-92TA Detroit diesel engine with an Allison HT-740D transmission and is equipped with a Waterous 1,500-gpm pump and a 200-gallon tank.
Special features include: a 1,000-gpm deluge gun at the platform, five 2 1/2-inch discharges and a 4-inch discharge to the platform, and two 1 1/2-inch crosslays.

This pumper-rescue unit built by 3-D Metals is now in service in Adrian, MI. It is mounted on a Ford C-8000 chassis with a six-man tilt cab. It has a 175-inch wheelbase.
The pumper has a Hale QSF 100-3, 1,000-gpm single-stage pump with top-mounted instrument panel and transverse attack line mounted behind the panel. It also features high-side compartments on both sides and a slide-in ladder rack in the rear. The water tank carries 500 gallons.

This new 1,000-gpm pumper, manufactured by the Boardman Company, was recently delivered to the Schaghticoke, NY, Fire Department. It is built on a C-8000 Ford chassis with turbo-charged Caterpillar 3208T diesel and automatic transmission.
The fire body and equipment feature: top-mount panel with color-coded controls, 750-tank, two crosslays, and two speedlays.

The Knoxville, TN, Rescue Squad recently placed in service a rescue truck built by Marion Body Company Inc. The heavy unit is mounted on a Ford F-700 chassis with a Ford 429, V8 gasoline engine and Allison automatic transmission.
A four-ton winch is mounted on the front bumper. There are ten equipment compartments; one of them mounts an Onan 7.5-kw generator. Telescoping quartz floodlights are mounted forward of the body. The unit also carries an air cascade system.

The Philadelphia, PA, Fire Department recently placed in service 15 new pumpers built by Seagrave on the Invader chassis. They have Detroit diesel engines and Allison automatic transmissions.
The units also each have a Waterous Model CMYC two-stage 1,000-gpm pump and carry 500 gallons of water. An offset booster reel is mounted over the pump panel. Forward of that reel are two Mattydale trays for pre-connected 1 3/4-inch attack line.
