The Coral Gables (FL) Fire Department designed this AMERICAN LAFRANCE MedicMaster ambulance with an extended cab to provide an extra seat for a third member, explains Captain John Curry, the EMS coordinator. The department chose the medium-duty size vehicle to address expanding inventory.

The Thompsonville (MI) Fire Department designed its W.S. DARLEY pumper with a Poly Bilt body to eliminate rust and corrosion, according to Chief Jim McGirr. The department specified a top-mount pump panel for operator safety and better fireground visibility and CAFS for its quick fire knockdown ability (the jurisdiction has a limited supply of water).

The King of Prussia Fire Department in Upper Merion Township, Pennsylvania, uses this EVI special service truck to address spills on four major highways and to protect a major shopping mall and industries in the jurisdiction, according to Assistant Chief Mark Ross. The organization uses outside decon because of the cost and mass applications required at such sites.

The Oakland (ME) Fire Department uses its E-ONE quint as a multipurpose unit, according to Firefighter/EMT David Coughlin. The unit responds to all fires and local alarms supported by a mini-pumper, a rescue unit, and two pumper/tankers.
