Tracy Badgley Receives FDIC Service Award

Tracy Badgley

The FDIC Service Award is presented to local Indianapolis-area personnel who have, over an extended period, demonstrated outstanding service to FDIC International. This year’s recipient is Tracy Badgley.

FDIC Education Director Bobby Halton says: “You may not know what Tracy does for FDIC and all the local fire organizations who make the show possible. In 2016, Tracy took over the massive job of managing the local credentialing process. He collects all the names from departments that either provide equipment or staffing to the hands-on training (H.O.T.) classes. He and his team sort all the credentials and get them delivered to each of the respective departments—that’s more than 154 departments and more than 7,400 names. On the two days of H.O.T. classes, he delivers all the unclaimed credentials. He also serves as one of the liaison transports to or from any H.O.T. classes, picking up people at the airport and bringing them to FDIC, and running any errands that need to be done.”

Badgley is a merit captain with 34 years of service to the Indianapolis (IN) Fire Department and drives Chief Dudley Taylor, BC07 C-shift. On his off days, he works for the Whitestown (IN) Fire Department as an A Shift battalion chief.

He received the award at the Indianapolis Fire Department Recognition Banquet on January 28 at the Indiana Roof Ballroom.
