FDIC International’s list of attendees from overseas grows every year, and FDIC International 2015 will be no different. According to Harold Boer, president of Rosenbauer America, that international attendees are very interested in new American products. “They get good exposure to American-/NFPA-type products which may differ from European-type products,” says Boer.
Rosenbauer will be introducing a number of apparatus innovations at FDIC International 2015. Recent trends in apparatus design have focused around creating more space in cab interiors for firefighting crews, the driver, and officers when they have donned their full turnout gear. Also, apparatus designs have incorporated features to ensure maneuverability. This year, Rosenbauer will introduce a 96-inch-wide chassis. Additionally, the company will unveil a 100-foot aerial on a single-axle chassis, and its “Emeric,” which is an apparatus resource management system.
FDIC International has grown to the point that more than 30,000 firefighters now arrive in Indianapolis each year for the industry’s highest regarded training conference followed by the largest North American fire industry exhibit. Boer doesn’t expect this year to be any different, and probably will see a few things himself. “We are expecting a great turnout for this show and expect to see many new products,” he states.
Rosenbauer America’s booth is 5401.
