Tactics for Today’s Fire Instructor
The fire instructor is one of the most dynamic and critical roles in the fire service, providing the training and education needed to be successful both on and off the fireground. This Webcast will review the process of scheduling training and balancing training with the other demands of the job. We will review conducting needs analysis for the training program and how to be effective in implementing a needs-based training program that meets the individual, company, and organizational needs for success. We will review the roles of NFPA and ISO and how they play into training and training programs. We will look at how to develop a training program using the Assess, Plan, Implement, and Evaluate model. We will also look at what’s new in 2024 and what we should be training on given our industry’s historical data. We will conclude with looking at tools, adjuncts, and methods to be successful and relevant as a fire instructor.
