The Los Angeles County (CA) Fire Department announced the death of Firefighter Jonathan Van Oeffelen on March 24, 2024.
Few details were provided, but in a social media post the department declared his passing an “active duty” death.
Firefighter Van Oeffelen was assigned to Fire Station 52 in the city of Vernon. The department extended its condolences and prayers to the family, friends, and colleagues of Firefighter Van Oeffelen.
