One firefighter was killed and another injured in a crash while responding to a call Friday evening in Chester County, Pennsylvania, reports say.
6ABC.com reported that Firefighters Colin Reed and Emily Gindele of the West Whiteland Fire Company were responding to a call on October 20, 2023, during a heavy downpour when their vehicle left the road and struck a tree.
Firefighter Reedy died at the scene, while Firefighter Gindele was transported with serious injuries, but is expected to survive.
